Going downhill. so they charge continuing users $50 a year for this app. the stats are good thus 2stars. the arsenal feature doesn't allow layouts. My real Real bone of contention is that the add games feature only allows paid users the ability to go back a month to claim games. this feature used to allow paid users to go back more than one month. I don't know what happened but this app is not worth the money if I can't claim games further back than one month .

Was a pro subscriber and enjoyed the app. Unfortunately with the removal of features from the free version and the subscription price increase, the number of bowlers using it at my local alley dropped significantly. Making the more fun features of following and competing with others limited and not worth continuing my subscription.

Developer response

Thanks for your feedback, Glenn. We understand how important the social aspect is, and how the experience depends on others around you using the app. Our goal with these changes is to keep the platform sustainable long-term while continuing to grow the network. We appreciate the time you've spent with LaneTalk and hope to welcome you back soon.

Use to like it until you had to pay for using it then which sucks if your on a budget and can't afford it every month so had to leave it. Loved the app when it was free and able to keep your stats. If it ever got to point where it was free again I definitely will come back to this app it was awesome for stats.

Developer response

Thanks for your kind words, Keith. It really means a lot to hear how much you enjoyed the app. We completely understand that a subscription isn't for everyone. We made this change to be able to keep improving and maintaining the service long-term, but we truly appreciate your support and hope to welcome you back in the future.

I use android version and I hate that it constantly goes back to the beginning of the list of bowlers after viewing someones stats. I have to scroll down the list of bowlers to find where I was before.

Developer response

Thanks for the feedback, Bryan. We understand how that can be frustrating when browsing through a long list of bowlers. We’ve shared this with our product team so they can look into improving the navigation and returning to the same position in the list after viewing a profile.

I hope this is a preauth and not a scam. I just got charged 50 dollars for a free trial of an 8 dollar a month service. Which is 50 dollars I was going to use towards a new ball, but now I can't.

Developer response

Hi Matt. Thanks for raising this. All charges are handled by Google Play and always require confirmation. Our support team is already looking into your case and will follow up directly to clarify what happened and help resolve it.

Last time I had it installed, the centers I bowl in were not listed. I know Tucson is no longer on the tour, but why aren't they here.

Developer response

Thanks for the feedback, Dan. Centers appear in LaneTalk when they have a compatible scoring system and choose to enable the LaneTalk integration. We don’t charge centers for this. If a location is missing, you can point them to lanetalk.com/centers for more info.

the app was grat when I first got it I even used pro for some time. however im not a professional bowler or a semi pro I just wanted to get better and track my stuff for a Saturday night league. can't do that anymore. since the update you need pro for just about everything. I will say the app does do a good job at keeping stats

Developer response

Thanks for sharing, Jeremy. We understand this change impacts casual league bowlers. Tracking your own games and stats is now part of Pro so we can keep automated, real-time tracking sustainable long-term. Many casual bowlers choose the yearly plan from $39.99, but we know it won’t be the right fit for everyone.
