I have been using the food diary feature for almost 10 years. I use multiple phones and rarely web, so the diary sync is critical for me. Two months ago (Feb 2026), this stopped working. Changes made in the app no longer save to web or other phones. There is a support thread about it, but it's still broken after two months. This is amateur and totally unacceptable. I can't believe they offer a paid subscription when free features don't even work.

Updated 2026: I'm recently back on my health and fitness journey and came back to this app. All the features I loved are premium and require a subscription to a premium account. I'm tired of every single thing wanting a subscription. I uninstalled and will not be using this app again. This does a great job at helping me keep track of my food and workouts. Love it.

No longer syncs properly. I rely on sharing my diary with a partner to share recipes, and this has completely stopped working for us. Also, recently the app has had issues syncing activity from Health Connect, making it harder to get an accurate read on my calories for each day

Did an actual human being test the latest redesign of this app? Nothing was actually added, things were just moved around to make basic functions now require extra clicks. Having to use a calendar to copy a previous meal to "today" is wild. Making the Nutrients tab default to weekly instead of daily is also unhinged. I finished adding items to my daily log, why would I be more likely to want to see a weekly nutrition average rather than TODAY'S nutrient total? Can't imagine paying for this app.

I can't stand the new UI. It was perfect before. Why waste time and resources changing it? For us daily users that have been using this for years our muscle memory of the various flows is established. Changing things around is incredibly disruptive. I might as well just use a new app.

I used this app a long time ago and loved it. Decided to use again after Samsung health changed. I did not find it very easy to navigate. I did figure out how to add food, but struggled finding what I actually selected so that I could edit it.

the Android app has not been syncing with the website for months now. The proposed workaround of using the website is not good enough. the website diary is not mobile optimised nor does it support the barcode scanner.

When I create my own food item, and then I go to create a recipe, there should be a separate menu option of just MY FOODS that I can search through. Instead I have to search through the database and *hope* that I find my food item. And no matter how creative I get with the naming I can never find my own items. MyFitnessPal has been around way too long for something like this to be a problem. It absolutely ruins the experience. 0/10 until y'all figure it out. :)

Can i get my refund asap? I canceled before my 7 day trial ended and they still charged my card and their support has yet to respond. Its been about 24 hrs and no emails back after I submitted a ticket. I hate companies that make it impossible to get help.

this app used to be $10/ month and had all the basics- perfectly streamlined. I redownloaded to try and get back on track but now they want $20/month and it's got so many extras that it's overwhelming. I want a fitness and calorie tracker app, not another social media app. Two thumbs down.

1) Weekly view now shows sunday - sat instead of the last 7 days. This is much less useful, especially since the calculations still consider the days that haven't happened yet. I see no way to return to the old view. 2) Why doesn't weekly view factor in bonus/lost calories from exercise/low activity? It means the math is entirely incorrect...? Edit: Wow I really miss the old UI, where I could see everything I've logged that day at once. It's so much less efficient now.

this app doesn't work. you add the food and then it just doesn't track. That's literally the main function of this app. you will add a food, and it recognizes you added it but just says 0 for the cals. then you click on the item and it shows the proper nutritional information that it isn't tracking. garbage

been enjoying this app for the last few months but as of today the app is freezing on the opening splash screen. if I uninstall app and reinstall (have also tried clearing cache/force stopping app) it lets me log in but then get pop up straight away saying app has stopped responding, then any further attempts to open app gets stuck on splash screen again. not sure what's happened but app is broken as of today...

The most worst app ever I have seen!! Never install it guys!! It's just to fill up the storage, nothing else.. As, it doesn't set up the food routine for you automatically, but you have to choose food, and it's of no use as it never show you that you are in the range of healthy section, just showing always fat. and unhealthy sections!!

UPDATE: I've done *everything* The developer has suggested & still nothing changes:( As time marches on, NOTHING has improved. This app used to be great. I don't know what happened, but now it sucks. The rot began when I was forced to log in every time I wanted to open it during the day. I cleared cache, uninstalled, reinstalled, and it's still stuffed. Now, I've lost my streak so 670+ days of using MFP gone. I contacted support numerous times and got NONE. Be warned, don't bother with this app.

I've been using this app for a while, but recently it's been really hard to log back in via Facebook every time it logs me out automatically. Just keeps repeating the same login over and over without getting anywhere. Thus the 1 star.
