Used to work good , not now , went on a week long prairie dog hunting trip and the app buttons were glitching , could not bring up property owner info to see if we were on public ground or federal hunting grounds , app is not reliable , I’m switching to on x

Please fix the wind direction. It’s completely opposite of the prevailing wind as the weather. North is showing south.

Can’t get logged in
I have spent three weeks going round and round with Tech support at HuntStand and they can’t get me logged in. I haven’t had this trouble with the hundreds of other apps. I have used over the years. I have an engineering degree and I’m in senior management of a manufacturing company so I know my way around technical things. This applications tech support is just awful.
Property info waaay out of date - lots of ads even for paid version- ONX IS BETTER
As I said property info is about 2 years out of date for at lease Wyoming county PA - lots of ads - new version clumsy to use gotta jump thru hoops and it’s slow - was great app years ago but Onx has surpassed it - a shame - I speak to them they ask me to provide deed info and co ordinates to correct the properties that I know of!! Screw you! They charge me to update their info!
I’d still rather use OnX
Firstly, I’m using the paid version. Secondly, I’ve already opted not to renew. The inability to use multiple map layers is my biggest frustration. I’d like to see roads, public land, private land, and topo all at the same time but can’t. Back to OnX!
Bad updates
I second all the people saying this app used to be awesome and now it sucks just nothing ever loads correctly
Don’t trust the wind direction, it’s been dead wrong for the last few months. Definitely bad.
This is the worst app possible with regard to the wind, it’s dead wrong and will ruin your hunt. The offline map isn’t reliable either. I don’t know what’s better but I know this app can’t be trusted.
Steady decline of services
Huntstand has continued to go downhill to the point I finally cancelled my subscription after many years of declining features. Every update they take functionality away and increase the level of difficulty navigating menus. When you create layers it becomes impossible to select individual items in the layer such as a highlighted trail or road. It’ll select the parcel instead 100 out of 100 times since the second to last update. What a waste of money this app was

The app is not good at all. Too basic. Will not renew. ONX is much better.
Ruined a great app
Let me preface, I am a hunter who has used this app for 8+ years here’s a couple of issues. 1. The map box update from google maps doesn’t work offline because some blocking api call and access to an area menu doesn’t allow me to access the offline maps option for a region unless I have signal. Which defeats offline maps purpose. 2. The map is glitchy I am constantly stuck on screens and selecting map layers. I’m currently stuck on tree cover and can’t get off no Matter what option I select. 3. The old app version had better caching now it’s constantly trying to reload instead of just keeping in local memory or on the device the current session. So back to point 1 if you have signal then lose it then open the app. Nothing. 4. The wind data has gotten terrible on the weather it will say SW wind only to on the Map show a NE wind opposite of apple and even what the apps weather shows. 5. My single most annoying bug is the fact y’all use my current location instead of the middle of the area GPS waypoint I have setup when I made the area like the app used to do. As someone who has multiple hunting areas in multiple states this with the locked out zoom level is sooo annoying. Sitting in florida having to scroll to North Dakota to find my area to plan a hunt…it’s untenable. Rant over please make it better.
Doesn’t Work!
I’m sorry, but this app and others like it are not accurate at all. I own land and I constantly have people coming on my land and they say this app tells him where the property lines are, I have to correct them every time. I could just easily be having them arrested for trespassing. Remember that when you use these apps.
RipOff No Stars
Had the Pro version of this app for years on iphone. My subscription updated automatically. Did the same thing this year, the pro did not update. Apple processed my payment; it was deducted from my bank account, but Huntstand says they never received it. Same phone, same processor, same app, but different app ownership. My money just "vanished in thin air" with neither company, nor Apple, nor payment taking any responsibility. Buyer Beware!!!
App has gone Downhill
I have used Huntstand since it began. This app has gone downhill fast. Constant glitches, weather data (especially wind) is typically completely wrong. Bought a new bow that came with a 3 month trial for OnX and will be making the switch.
Garbage
Please look at the reviews before wasting your money on this completely useless app, go with ONX as HuntStand is the crappiest app ever!! I’ve cancelled my subscription, the app can never find your location, the wind direction is always way off, its always crashing, just overall a completely horrible app, don’t waste your money on this

I have used this app for years and it has done nothing but added more “click bait” notifications and the real information I try to use it for is wrong right in front of my face. I have a screen shot of my hunt zone telling me that the wind is blowing to the south @ whatever wind speed, the compass pointing kinda north and the zone circle showing wind blowing straight north. It is showing my actual location bearing 100% wrong no matter how many times I try to calibrate or update my compass on both my iPhone and android phone. How much of a refund do I get back for canceling my subscription, transferring my data and spending my hard earned money to an app that actually knows what direction I’m facing???
Terrible Ap!
Ap used to work fine showing wind direction (main feature). Lately it shows incorrect data and shows wind (incorrectly) for hours later. No support from developer. No way to provide feedback.
Awful
Used to be a great app but recently has been deleting some of my markers and won’t load my current location and boundary lines together, only one or the other. About to cancel my subscription and go with a different app

I’ve had this app for many years and has worked great but after the previous update it’s been giving inaccurate wind direction.
