Using it with Polar Verity sensor. Bought a year subscription because of supposed algorithm accuracy and future potential. But at this point I am starting to get a bit disappointed. The app could use a lot of improvements but it seems development is either really slow or halted. Not sure if I will renew. Sleep values also strangely seems to be 100% identical on many nights, which I find hard to believe..
Developer response
Thank you for your honest feedback!Your input is highly valuable in shaping improvements and we’re sorry to hear that you’re feeling disappointed! Please contact us at [email protected],we'd love to clarify things with you together! Btw:We’re working on major updates (Polar Loop integration, algorithm upgrade, AI-driven sleep&factor analysis coach) :)
Tracking seems to be quite accurate, but how would one know? The ml model seems to miss some of my awakenings. In any case, after three months using it daily, I am not gaining any new information. In retrospective I learned, the more time for sleep is available the better. Surprise. It might have been useful to correlate 'importan factors' with metrics in the UI.
Developer response
Thank you for your honest feedback,Robert! You're absolutely right:objective sleep tracking is powerful, but its true value comes from translating data into meaningful insights.Good news:We're continuously improving our algorithm and we're currently working on an update that will show how different factors influence specific sleep metrics over time.
I'm a paying user. It says it works with health connect but only to import data from health connect which is nonsensical because I want Sleep2 to track my sleep not use other sleep data in health connect. The value is in exporting the data not importing. This app is groundbraking accuracy wise but it's made by an incompetent app team
Developer response
Many thanks for your feedback!Sleep² achieves its accuracy by analyzing raw data from a Polar sensor with our scientifically validated algorithm. To cover other needs (e.g. users without Polar), sleep data can be imported via Health Connect. We're happy to say: Export feature is already in development and will be available soon.Hope you'll like it:)
Health Connect integration within the app is poorly utilised. Lacks integration with other fitness applications. Features for non-subscribers are minimal. Subscription plan pricing isn't realistic. Has trouble opening after being closed on Android 15. Whilst sleep tracking, you don't get any notifications regarding sensor connectivity.
Developer response
Thank you Joe, we highly appreciate your constructive feedback!Due to the character limit we can’t go into detail on every point, but several aspects are already in progress and will be addressed in upcoming updates. We’d love to hear from you directly at [email protected], so we can take a closer look at your experience and support you personally.
crashes lots on me new Samsung Galaxy 25
Developer response
Hi Chris, many thanks for the feedback and for flagging the issue! We're sorry to hear you're experiencing crashes on your smartphone - that’s definitely not the experience we want for you. Please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can take a closer look and help resolve this quickly.
Original review: I love this app. It works with a (relatively) cheap, comfortable to wearninnbed and very accurate sensor and doesn't require a smartwatch. It's very simple to use and gives useful advice on how to improve your sleep. Edit: Sadly, without warning that the subscription was ending, from one night to the next, the app locked me out of all my recorded data and stopped functioning. This is really NOT OK. Devs: you need to warn the user! And what about my months of sleep data??
Developer response
Thank you Bubba Joe, it is really great how you appreciate our app!!! If you like, feel free to send us an email to [email protected] - we are curious about your ideas for improvement :)
It's good as long as the sensor data gets read and processed. Every so often even with the sensor on, the data does not get read and no reason or even partial results are given, you lose the whole nights data.
Developer response
Thank you for your feedback! It sounds like the sensor may not have been properly connected or was possibly in use by another app at the same time. To avoid data loss, please ensure the sensor is started manually (not via Polar Flow) and used exclusively with Sleep². Feel free to contact us at [email protected] - we’d love to help!
1: expensive, 2: detecting sleep stages is good, 3: no way to verify how changes in sleep hygiene affect sleep, because there is no factor to sleep quality improvement detection, and there is no option to export data to make such detections manually. this is actually my biggest complaint. hope it will change in future. 4: has multiple major bugs. 5: App has high potential and I look forward for improvements
Developer response
Dear KM! Thanks for your Feedback. Indeed according to our analyses sleep² classifies with sleep-lab like accuracy in all 4 sleep stages including wake. Any kind of sleep factor can be added by yourself in the app. Starting Q1/2025 we will then show you the results for them. Also feel free if you need some raw data, we may be able to help;-)
I really wanted to like this because of the accurate sleep stage tracking but found it wasn't a fit. I found wearing my Polar H10 while sleeping uncomfortable and wondered if just wearing the H10 was negatively impacting my sleep. Also, I found the graphs not as good as Garmins, and the price too high. I see they finally added min HR and HRV which are good steps. I would like to see better graphs, reduced costs, and more features. If they do that, maybe I would try again with armband sensor
Developer response
Hi! Thanks for your feedback! We understand your concerns about pricing but please understand that the related research and development is substantial. However, we are constantly working towards new features and a new big update is around the corner. You will soon see all past hypnograms and HR graphs, factor feedback, etc. Please stay tuned!
I tried sleep2 because of the recommendation, but can't really say anything about it because all the good things are hidden behind a 25eur/month paywall. It's a lie that there is a free trial/version, because you pay for it with your data and get for that some very basic data and numbers without any individual recommendations (something for what this app was recommended for). 25 eur/month is actually a good thing - I might slip ant try it blindly for 9.99, but 25? Wake up from your fantasy.
Developer response
Hi Paulius! Actually you can test the App for FREE. Please consider that sleep² is an evidence-based product not comparable to fitness Apps. **And as an UPDATE for you: From today you also see your heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) in the App night by night indicating your recovery potential! ** Please check and rate us again!
What about English or some another in-app translation? I only see it in Deutch.
Developer response
Dear Vladan, the English version is now released and hopefully meets all your expectations. If this helps please re-consider if sleep² may deserve a better rating from you ;-)
Failed to pair with Polar H10 so can't even try it. Also could not find a way to change language to English so apparently that option doesn't exist? Edit: pairing started working, waiting for English version now. Subscription seems expensive. At least 1 month full trial would be nice when English is available. H10 is great for everything else but would be nice to also have support for some sO2 sensors (parallel with H10) like Garmin watches or similar to enable low sO2 / sleep apnea detection.
Developer response
Hi Markus, before you decide to buy the full version, you can get to know the app free of charge with the BASIC subscription. The ENGLISH version is now online, please check it out! If you still have problems please contact us and re-consider your App rating if we could improve to the better for you :-)

Unsre wissensch. Evidenz findest du hier: https://www.sleep2.com/unsere-forschung. Nächtliche Herzdaten werden demnächst angezeigt. Tests und bewerte uns daher gerne NEU!
I really like the concept and the extensive analysis and coaching. It would be nice if the app was in english and the price is a bit too high.
Developer response
Hi Giacomo! We just released an English version of the App and extended the features. The price is coming from the intense development of our highly accurate AI algorithms as well as the gold-standard intervention program that we offer in digital form. We therefore would be really happy if you would test and RATE sleep² again!
