YOU DON'T NEED MY INFO UNLESS YOU'RE SELLING IT! Don't lie and say you do because a ton of free sleep apps never ask for it and you're a liar if you say otherwise.

I love the service, but the actual app is consistently between bad and useless. I often have to stop using it for days or even weeks because of crashing.

I don't like the new home screen. Please put it back.

I have used and enjoyed this app for years with no problems but recently it has stopped working entirely. when I open the app I get an error message saying "take a deep breath and try again in a few moments". i have tried reinstalling but it didn't help.

Hello Headspace Team. I love using your app and it is a part of my daily routine. However, the download capabilities and download and favourites management are not easy. I have to get on the information page of a meditation or sound and only then can I add or remove it to both. Also I can not download sleepcasts among other offers and they keep stopping due to connection issues in the middle. None of them plays completely if not downloaded.

This used to be my favorite app for years but lately it's been having more and more issues over the last couple of months. It crashes or does not load. Super frustrating esp since I pay for it. I have tried the troubleshooting suggestions with no success.

they pay wall the entire app and any useful meditations so you have to subscribe to use their service at all.

The new home screen is overwhelming. The opposite of what you want with this app. Previously, the meditation for the day was layed out without having to put additional scrolling, without thought, and without additional decision making. The new layout makes for a poor user experience imo.

Will Not Load Anymore - For a meditation app, I struggle to understand why this app works this poorly. I still have to take daily screenshots of my progress. The app also randomly stops, - without warning. Now, all that shows is a error and to try again. What a disappointment.

this has got to be one of the worst apps ever. constantly logs you out, fails to open, or says "something went wrong". very frustrating to use. not sure how they can put out this garbage

It was uncomfortably limited for free users when I used it more than 8 months ago. Had to uninstall when I realized that I didn't NEED an APP to meditate 🤦‍♀️

This app played a pivotal role in supporting my mental health journey with mindfulness practices. I'm a peer lived experience worker, and It would be a dream to say "this is what worked for me" and for the app to be accessible. Maybe if the limited free service could be brought back? (Not the free trial, something free that lets people access the content and promote daily ongoing practices.) This is the only reason for 4 stars, not 5.

Recently, this app is one of the worst I've used. The Care button is sometimes missing completely from the menu. Member Support Chat is sometimes missing. Multiple notifications for the same chat message. Update: It's been two years and the App still sucks. Worse, the Customer Service is impossible to get on the phone, and Headspace habitually screws up Billing with Insurance. I'm going to download Calm App just to destress from everything caused by Headspace.

activity history just straight up doesn't work, probably better it does sessions just not logged at all. makes it hard to stay on course and keep track of the correct lesson to do next

Yeah call promotional material "free content"😄😤 Came back 3 years after my last review to try and pick it up again, now even the basics are locked, not to talk about what have become of the ui/ux😮‍💨 not touching this app again.

*edit* App randomly decided to delete all my downloaded sleep meditations. No Biggie - will redownload. Guess what - app won't let me listen to downloaded offline content when I'm offline like before. Reinstalled, cleared cache etc. - nothing works. Been going for months now, so cancelling subscription and moving on... Enjoy the content but the app just doesn't work half the time. Reinstall or clearing cache does nothing.

Headspace was one of my all time favorite apps. I still use it at least once a day, however since the addition of Ebb the AI Headspace has added, the app functionality has gotten worse. It takes forever to open and often crashes despite downloading all the updates. Additionally, you used to be able to download much more content to use offline that I really enjoyed when I travel. I had high hopes that a mediation app like Headspace would be safe from Enshitification, I'm not so sure anymore.

While the app was fantastic, WHY ON EARTH are you collecting data and I quote from the new Privacy Policy "when [I] send or respond to emails, messages, chats, or other communications from Headspace" you collect "any personal information [I] include in the body content of [my] communications." to "power machine learning algorithms" (AI) and "personalise adverts". This is such a philosophical contradiction to what this app seems to be about. A greed driven breech of privacy. Uninstalled it.

with each update it is becoming more and more buggy. It crashes way too often and the lag before playing a session is way too much and irritating especially for a app meant for mediation

I've paid such a high amount for this app but it keeps crashing mid session. Completely breaks the rhythm and concentration.

completely paywalled and 50 quid subscription for a year. very overpriced and not worth it.

initially gave this a 5 star review, however the app is so buggy it's at points unusable. Frequently won't connect to Internet despite other apps are working in full signal, and when it does connect, takes ages to load. Would be great if headspace team could look to improve functionality of the app...

already subs but unable to access any session. its been a week. ive been a loyal user since 2023 but this is the first time I have this problem with no change, even after I uninstall and redownload it few times

Incredible app. I get free headspace as a teen and it has really helped me look at the world more positively. 10/10.

Agree with recent negative reviews below - for an App requiring a paid subscription it peforms really badly. Very slow and buggy and most frustratingly after latest update offline downloads don’t work anymore on Android. I mainly use downloaded content to help me with sleep but now it won’t play without internet. Completely counter-productive! Tried all fixes — reinstall, cache clear, re-download — still broken. Not acceptable for a paid app, especially for sleep use.

practically unusable.

I have been stuck on an endless loop trying to log in to my old account. It logs me in on the webpage, tells me to open the app and then logs me into the app with the wrong credentials, with no option to enter the correct email address. I now have to idea how to log in to cancel the free trial. Con artists.

I had been a longtime user of this app and absolutely loved it. I had also recommended it to plenty of people back then but have lately been discontent over the ui. It has way too much content and is super cluttered. For me, Headspace's most basic offerings were and are its most powerful ones. I loved the easy navigation, succinct courses and guidance. I would sincerely urge the developers to make a simpler ui. Most headspace users won't be swayed by new content added every month.

Sometimes, when I was using the app during a meditation, it just stopped.

Downloaded the app and I can get past the introductory screen and 3 breath exercise, tried multiple times to restart the app but it didn't work.

highly disappointed. I was recommended this app by a specialist, only to find that to access anything, I have to either pay a yearly subscription or monthly of $19.95. Once I discovered this, I uninstalled the app. No way can I afford another expense, especially when I downloaded the app to help me relax.

Beware, they advertise a 14 days free trial, but I was charged the annual subscription immediately. I had to use Google policies to get a partial refund. Besides that, the app is extremely frustrating, very slow and constantly crashing, even during meditation ! (on a Samsung Galaxy S22)

Avoid this app. But if you want to get it anyway, be EXTREMELY careful as Headspace wont send subscription reminders, and if you are charged they will fight tooth and nail to keep the money no matter what. I got hit hard with a yearly subscription, that they refused to refund. Extremely scummy move considering for whom the app is catered to. Also the AI enshittification is making the app drop in quality significantly. STAY AWAY if you can, there are better alternatives out there.

This app is not easy to navigate. If you want to try the free app, it forces you to click free at the same time as subscribe. The 2 are not separate. Then you cancel anytime, another hassle. Try for free is not the way it sounds. Horrible horrible experience.

why is everything locked 😟

this app used to be great. the last year it's gone downhill. customer service isn't great anymore either. I had 3 issues, one was addressed, 2 weren't despite me following up. one was that i was advised of a renewal premium and then was charged a higher premium. so disappointing now from what it used to be

daily necessity for a calm experience

Scheduling appointments are easy, but every other provider I've seen virtually sends a text message with a link to the session 10 minutes prior. Headspace only sends a push notification that's easy to miss, which I did. It also seems there's no phone number to call and quickly resolve issues, so this has just been a bigger headache when all I wanted was support.
