Watch Lasts Nine Holes
This app drains an Apple Watch battery after about 9 holes every time I use it. No other similar golf app uses up a watch battery like this one does. There's no excuse for an app to use watch battery like Golfshot does. Wish I had known about this before I paid for a subscription 😡.
Easiest app to sync with iwatch 11
Super easy scoring and ease of use with my new iwatch 11. Fully charged I could do 18 holes and ended up at 50% charge at end of the round.
Crashes every time
I’ve used this app for years but suddenly now it crashes before I can even get the round set up. I’m completely updated on both device and app and I still am unable to use the app at all. Hopefully it gets patched or fixed because I’m about to move on to something else after over a decade of use.
Really great app but pushy for premium
This app works and I love that you can track your distances, shots, and document your club distances all with the free version and can be used in connection with your Apple Watch and track from your wrist. There are some things that are annoying but not enough to keep me from using it, the app constantly pushes you to “pro” and the app also really eats at your watch battery so by the end of 9 holes your 50-40% from a full charge. Definitely recommend still!
Fantastic
Really great app in all respects. Quite accurate and great to keep score and gather statistics on your game. Been using for several years now. I did run in to one course issue yesterday. Clearwater Country Club in Clearwater FL has swapped the front nine and the back nine. It was confusing at first until I realized that course hadn’t been changed in the app.

Apple Watch issues
The app use to work great. Then over the last couple months something changed. The Digital Crown on the Apple Watch no longer works, so you can’t select a club. Then when it is time to score, not only does the Digital Crown still not work, but the score and putts boxes are blank, so you can’t even set a score if you wanted to. Giving one star for those people out there that like to fiddle around with your watch instead focusing on their shot. Because that is now the experience with this app.

App works just as promised. I had a problem linking my ghin so I reached out to customer support. They quickly helped me and weee very friendly.
Apple Watch
I like the app. The issue is how to close the app on the watch. I have to power down the watch. It also lasts 18 holes most of the time. I kills the watch battery.
Golfshot far exceeded my expectations!
I just switched to Golfshot from The Grint after seeing a friend use it. I used it for the first time last weekend, wearing my Apple Watch. I was able to play the whole round simply using my watch to record scores on each hole. The app recorded all but 2 swings perfectly, with rich data captured on the app. I’m so impressed with the Golfshot app, and highly recommend it for any data hungry golfers who wants to y track performance, get more insights on their game, and improve.

Great app; pretty accurate read of distances; but the pro paid plan is much too expensive.

After being a loyal subscriber of GokfShot for 5 years I was surprised to find advertisements in my paid app dashboard today. My renewal is in 3 weeks. I will be cancelling.
Garbage
Doesn’t work with Apple Watch at all. It doesn’t seem to synch. You have to manually change holes after inputting score from phone. Also would not turn off on watch after round was ended and there is no screen to end the round. There is a dedicated screen during the round to ask you to buy the subscription. Most everything else works fine. Probably good if you aren’t trying to use a watch.

Score on watch not working
This app was good and then is not delivering it’s worth. The watch score screen goes blank and you are not able to scroll the actual score you made on that specific hole. Extremely frustrating.
Love the app. Hate that they still haven’t updated for Poppy Ridge
Please update the new course before I have to change to a different app.
Annoying Promotion
The app does a good job at its principal functions of keeping score and tracking shots. However I’ve taken one star off of my review because every time you start any round you have to first accept or decline upgrading to premium. This is an annoying extra step that didn’t used to be there. Another annoyance is being asked to review your home course after every round.

When I attach a distance to a club I’m EQUIPMENT I assume or it to green center? Should be mentioned on app somewhere. Txs All else for years - Great
Golfshot GPS fun!
Absolutely love using Golfshot GPS. Doesn’t matter what Golf Course I’m on in the country. It’s always available, very accurate to the center of the green, gives you distances to trouble in the fairways. It is super easy to use, and very affordable. Never loose your rangefinder again.
Great golf app
I really like this app. Courses load quickly. Yardage are accurate and tracks strokes pretty well. They also have great customer support. I had questions on something I was seeing and they were super responsive. Highly recommend this app
The 15th club
I have had this app for several year now, the support team is great when you run into minor clutches which are few and far between. The app helps with tracking yardages and is like having a caddie at all times. This has helped me go from not being able to break a 100 to breaking 90 and this year to break 80. Which I have shot a couple times.
Can’t add more than 12 clubs
I don’t have a seven wood, but it says that I do, I have 12 clubs in my bag. I want to add a seven wood and an approach wedge but the equipment menu won’t let me do it so I have a 30 yard gap between two of my clubs. For an app that is supposed to give you yardages and recommend clubs. What am I supposed to do not use two of the clubs in my bag? I have re-downloaded the app. I have restarted the app. I’ve restarted my phone. I’ve tried to contact customer support. So I think I’m left with no choice but to delete it and find something better.
Download was in error
I signed up for the wrong app. Now this app will not allow me to stop membership fee and delete app. This seems like a complete scam

The app is always crashed . Have to uninstall and install it in order to use . Very bad experience.

Memory hog on Apple Watch, not very intuitive navigation
Hole selection during round on watch app
It should be easier navigating to different holes during the round on the watch app. Should be a swipe vs holding for the menu then selecting change hole then selecting the hole.

Great app missing 1 feature
Love the app. I love how much attention has gone to the Apple Watch. With the integration of green reading on the app I think it only makes sense if that’s added to the watch app as well. I personally don’t carry my phone out of the cart into the green but do have my watch on me and could be beneficial.
Rip Off
I purchased Golfshot+ with a lifetime subscription. So now the company is discontinuing Golfshot+ and forcing us to pay AGAIN for Golfshot GPS. Completely unethical.
Not easy to use
I’ve used several mobile apps for tracking clubs on the course. This is the most difficult to use. It should be very easy to track clubs and see the information but this is not at all intuitive to use despite me trying several times. The auto track features either doesn’t work or works in a way that does not allow me to easily see the data. Too bad.
Ads even with pro subscription!
Been a paying user for years, recently let my subscription lapse for a couple weeks before renewing thru their website, now my app has a huge “pay $2.99 to remove ads” banner and I sometimes get full screen popups on app launch. The app clearly shows I have a pro membership in under upper left. Neither logging out and logging back in nor full uninstall/reinstall fixed the issue.
Stop constantly changing the interface!
I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now and I like it. However, every time there is a new update there seems to be a significant change to the interface and new features that are automatically flipped on by default. Like auto swing detection and auto moving to next hole without me being able to manually input my score for the current hole. It takes me two or three rounds to figure out how to turn these unwanted features off. So annoying would’ve given it more stars for my review. Hadn’t it been for this really annoying battle with the application.
Old distances
I have used this app for many years having logged over 800 rounds. My course made many changes to the layout about 3 years ago, but the app has not been updated. The scorecard is correct but gps is not. I’ve requested an update but was told they have to wait for google maps to be updated. I even contacted google world to request an update. Why can’t Golfshot get help from the Club? Looks like I may have to switch to 18 Birdies.
Disappointed with auto advance
I have repurchased golf shot pro but I am consistently seeing that the gps is not auto advancing, I have it togglesd on but at times when I don’t use my cart gps I see its 4 holes behind. Additionally for non tournament settings I see that the app doesn’t give me plays like distances. To be honest I regret not renewing swingU.
Disappointed w usage on Apple Watch.
Using on my Apple Ultra 2 and feeling like Golfshot just isn’t intuitive and user friendly enough. Once you pass a hole, if you forget to enter a score, it’s not easy to get back. Same with other features. Shouldn’t have to study the user manual to not feel like I’m holding my buddies up as we move from shot to shot. Have a Garmin watch which is very easy compared to this app.
Caution
App renewed automatically without notification. Subscription was purchased through web. Emailed support the same day with no response. Will not support companies like that.
Decide in a week and then pay???
Way too complicated- do not waste your time…. They need to give you a MONTH to learn this vs a week…. I cancelled - as after one round - it was not working well. That was it - why would I pay for something that is not working and I don’t have time to work through the issues. Plenty of free golf apps with GPS. My only suggestion to the developers is that their free trial period is too short and if they’re confident in their product, give someone like four weeks to try this out and become addicted to it. I wonder how many people cancel this thing in the first week. But perhaps they’re hoping people forget and they pay for it and don’t use it…. I like the idea but having to learn this thing in a week it’s too much.
Golfshot being removed from the App Store?
I just received a notification on 12/9/25 that Golfshot is being removed from the App Store on 12/18/25. Is this true? What happens with those of us who have unused annual subscriptions?

Superior customer support
I’ve been using this app for 15+ years and anytime I’ve had an issue these folks are on it immediately. From updating a new course to anything else, their help is invaluable.
