Pick n play
Ever since I updated my phone to iOS 26 pick n play has been having many issues and when I did the last software update and made the game very buggy and with the last update to the app I can’t even play pregame at all that I have to use a separate device just to be able to play it. And every time I’ve reached out to customer support they just say that it’s being investigated and as high escalation and can’t give me a definite answer of what the issue is.
Slow, it’s just slow
Basically if they can make it hard to do, the developers of this app do. Picture comes in blurry then clear, then blurry again. For $99 (Yankees only) I get to see the games, but it’s far from perfect. To add on this app is the worst. They act like they care and respond quickly, but they do nothing. Don’t waste your money. I wish I could get mine back. SO FIX IT, we’re spending good money on a bad product.
Very poor app
The app will randomly close or decide to put an ad for another game covering the entire screen. It will also randomly log you out for no reason. Horrible app.
Save your money
Gotham Sports worked pretty well for the first year or so, but then they started spamming alerts saying “you will lose your couch rights.” I reached out to customer support to try to resolve the issue. They were able to fix it for me — for a month’s time. After that I got the same alert again and so I reached out yet again. I waited over a week to finally get a response from a human agent. They were not able to fix it for me as they gave me the same troubleshooting instructions I had already received. Sadly, Gotham Sports app is too expensive to play around like this. I had to cancel my subscription as a lifelong NYR fan. I just want to watch my favorite awful hockey team, but there are clearly many technical issues with GS. I’m not sure how a subscription for $30 to watch some Knicks & Rangers games isn’t enough (Yankees is a higher pricing point).
Cannot sign in
Why make it impossible for users to sign in/link to tv provider. It is burdensome to constantly log in every single time and this time can’t even access content.
Unreliable
Update app and then I can no longer log in. Instead l get a gazillion character error code.

They deny access to content which has already been paid for. They suspend your couch rights on different days for the past 4 months. Customer service could care less and always has an excuse instead of a solution. I’m sorry that I ever subscribed.
Multiple Issues I have abandoned this app
I have experienced multiple issues, across multiple devices with this app and have finally abandoned it. The most recent was on my iPad where I worked with customer service for a week without finding a resolution. I now watch through my web browser. This is inexcusable for any streaming app but especially one connected to the largest team in all of sports.

Awful
Won’t open streams half the time
They updated the app so I could enjoy the new features but now i can’t watch it at all!
Last season I would take my iPad into my yard and watch the Yankees on the Gotham app. Today i tried it and I got a message to update the app to “enjoy the new features “ but there is one problem. The update requires iOS 17 or higher but my iPad won’t update to that operating system! So now I am paying for cable but I can’t use the Gotham app on my phone. They should have an option so that someone can use the old app! All the “support” person could offer was “please use a supported device”. Well DUH!
Trash
Other than the constant crashes and bugs, we are now over a week into the season and still have last years schedule and scores/standings up. No update on games or times or anything.and don’t even think about making a ticket to customer service haha. I know YES network had its issues, but this takes the cake for all around worst app.
All greed and bugs
This app, both iOS and AppleTV should be taken out back old teller style. 1) The volume often does not work the first time you start the game. You have to go back out and in again and sometimes that fixes it. Same problem on both iPhone and AppleTV apps. 3rd season this bug persists. When you enter the game stream in the middle of an inning you are still forced to watch an ad. This means the UX leadership that should be looking out for users is powerless to the greedy ad sales team. If this was an ad supported app and a business model, no problem. But it’s not. GROSS. There is no real rewind capability or ability to stream the game later. Some people have kids to put to bed etc but you have no hope of catching up on it later. Again this is clearly an advertising based decision. Shame on the Yankee organization for this piece of trash.
Worst streaming app ever
This continues to be the worst streaming app ever developed. The Apple TV app is completely broken. Barely works on a phone. Terrible, delayed streams. Incredibly overpriced. Just awful, greed and incompetence all around.
Poor performance
This app is expensive and performs poorly. The games often freeze or come in low definition. It’s hard to understand why the Yankees and Knicks , that are worth billions allow for such subpar performance
FIX THIS APP ENOUGH ALREADY
The absolute WORST app I have downloaded on my phone with the number of glitches I deal with every single time I watch a game. Unfortunately I’d delete it if it wasn’t the only place I can watch my team. This app crashes, glitches, rewinds the last 10 seconds over and over again without me touching anything, is delayed, doesn’t stay live, randomly logs me out, the list goes on and ON. These are entry level technical fixes that can be done and SHOULD BE for what they’re asking people to pay. I’m extremely close to canceling my subscription. Do better.
Bad
I never rate apps, but this is the worst. Pay the monthly subscription to watch the Rangers and constantly get errors that I am in an unauthorized location when just trying to watch the game. In Manhattan. Also, the same ad plays 700 times a game

App either fails to open or fails after 30 seconds of watching the game. Very buggy and terrible experience for the subscription fee they charge. Can’t even watch the Yankee games

Worst major sport ever
How many people have tried to watch a game through their Roku via Gotham app and find it gruesome to get it to work? Really a shame —no activation code no QR code and often just gives you the words Visit w nothing below —it’s a bust
Frustrating and outdated
After paying $150 for MLB you can’t watch any Yankee games unless you also pay $120 for Gotham. The app doesn’t show any upcoming games, the scores are from last year, and there’s no clear way to try to watch a game.
Useless App
Never worked. Period. Not once. I connected my cable provider, disconnected and reconnected, deleted and reinstalled the app, everything their "support" suggested. Although I kept getting emails telling me I had unlimited access, I remained locked out of everything and couldn't watch a single thing. It's bad enough we're forced into having this app because we can't watch our teams play, but then it doesn't even work. Thank goodness I used my cable provider instead of buying a subscription. I would have been totally ripped off.
TV Provider expires too quickly
The app expires your TV Provider link in two weeks. This is ridiculous as you need to keep logging back in. I have multiple devices (TVs, mobile devices, tablets) that all need access to the games. Every time I try and use a device, I find myself having to reauthenticate to my TV provider (even with a consistent account across devices). This is absolutely terrible.

Wow logged into Gotham sports to watch the game today and was denied access because “I was out of region” I live in Albany NY…. I’m done with Yankees and baseball all together.
Spotty
I find it unbelievable that every single New York sports team is available through this app and they still cannot get it to work properly. It constantly logs me out, and then once I’m back in the game might never even load. Constantly crashing and terribly inconsistent. I was patient at first because it was a new app, but now it has been years. It’s disgraceful. NY fans deserve better.
This app sucks
This app is connected to my Samsung smart TV and consistently crashes and always during critical moments in the game. Never when there’s a commercial. I pay $20 a month for something that is unreliable. If I watch from my phone, it’s fine. It would be nice to have the same quality from the TV.

Very basic
The app regularly crashes requires you to log out log back in constantly sometimes we’ll still show that your game that you’re paying for is locked and worst of all reaching out to Customer service won’t do anything for you. They’ll take days to respond and they do not actually care.

Else App Ever
Is consistently the worse app I have ever used. It has been this way for years an seems that things are only getting worse. Hard to imagine a worse app.
Still terrible.
I only subscribe during baseball season because Hulu Live doesn’t carry Yes. I was really hoping to come back this year and find this app had improved, but no. You can still only skip ahead in 10 second intervals if you’re starting a game over. Still can’t restart a game in progress. Absolutely hate that if you hit close on the stats menu, IT DOESN’T ACTUALLY CLOSE, it just collapses, so you always have this stupid menu bar obstructing your view on the right side of the screen. During spring training, the games aren’t even available to watch on demand, only live or when the replay is being aired on Yes. I can’t yet comment on the annoying score spoilers if you watch on demand, because they aren’t available yet. I’m just gonna go ahead and guess that the slow buffering streaming quality is still a problem like the rest. FIX THESE ISSUES!
Doesn’t load
Terrible I paid for a Sabres game Ofcourse they take my money then the app freezes after that they refused to refund me the app still don’t load or open on multiple devices will never be dealing with them again customer service is terrible
