Used to be better
Loved this app before everything got locked behind paywalls. I get you gotta make money and hiding the weather and pressure stuff or even top baits was fine but the fact I can’t even look at people photos that they put up at that spot of water is ridiculous.

I love this app and I use it as a vice for doomscrolling so I can instead look at cool fish! Plus, even though I didn't pay for pro it still has some cool features like finding spots and species for completely free! I highly suggest that you get this app if you like fishing!

The pricing model ruined the app, information is provided the user and I didn’t mind the advertising, but making it a pay to see app just ruins it.
Deceptive
Free app, but listing shows a lot of features that you will only get if you buy an expensive membership. You only find this out after giving them a lot of personally identifying information that can be used to track you.
It’s great, I just wish they could change one thing.
It has everything I need and want, and all the info you could ever need! I just wish there were an option to pay to see when a certain fish is biting and what it’s biting on, instead of having to get a monthly or yearly subscription that unlocks everything when you really only want to target certain species.

Amazing app! As a new angler, this app is indispensable. I have learned so much from it. I’ve even posted my catches. The app is fun also. I love checking places out nearby and while traveling. 5 🌟
Havent used in years
It’s crazy that they want you to log and give all your information to others but if you want to see any information it requires a paid membership now. I understand locking some info out but it’s probably 95%

I really love this app for the community and fish, and that you can see why baits people are using which can make it more enjoyable. Except for the missing lakes this is honestly a amazing app
Stupid App
This is a horrible app. Can’t even get into it when it says, “Something went wrong.” Every time I open the damn app. It’s not the internet or anything like that because I’ve been trying over days and many places. Please fix it.

Pay to Play
This app was great a year ago. Awesome feed with lots of great catches. Fishing hotspots on the map with a list of those awesome catches, so I knew what I was getting into at that lake, stream, or shoreline. It’d tell me what lures they used, so I knew what to bring and came prepared. There was even a leaderboard! I’d love to compare two spots near each other and see if anyone recently caught a hog. All of that was free! But now there’s a paywall that pops up on any piece of information you want to see. I’m not looking to pay $80 a year for this information. Get rid of the paywalls and replace it with skippable ads. Sad a great app went money hungry.

My old account got took down because it said I wasn’t old enough and before it was fine so make my old account useable fishbrain I had all my old catches and my followers so put the age limit at 8 so I can get fishbrain again

There is zero functionality now without paying the $12/month subscription. I might have paid for 4 maybe $5 a month, but this is just greed. App is useless unless your willing to pay Netflix prices for your fish instagram app.

I love this dang app
Completely unusable
You need to pay for a subscription to do the most basic functionalities, like looking at photos of people’s catches. 90% of the app is locked behind a paywall. The free version is almost useless. Meanwhile the anglers adding value to the app by posting their catches aren’t compensated at all.
Fishbrain is like instagram for fisherman
I love Fishbrain! This app is very helpful for catching fish, it’s easy to use, and the people on there are super nice!
Annoying
Don’t get me wrong when I first got fish brain I was so happy, I could look at a bunch of different things to help me catch fish depending on location, weather, time of day, etc. But recently Fishbrain has been making you pay a subscription for very little things. For example I can’t even go to a specific body of water near where I live and see what people have caught. I have to pay a monthly subscription for that and many other things. This app was really nice early on but as time has moved onward the company behind Fishbrain has grown very very money hungry. I will say this though, if you are willing to pay this app monthly it is great and one of the best apps out there for fishing. But other than that I do not recommend.

This app used to be free, but now it’s some hot garbage! 99% of the time, this app mixes up the locations that share names, telling you a lake is the same one 100 miles away from you. You’re better off asking the bait shop where to go.

This is the best fishing app it actually works really well it got me to catch my first fish and it shows the baits for them

The app is ok shows a lot of spots but majority are private property I can’t even fish on. Would like for there to be more non private property spots. I spent two hours driving to spots for it to all end up on someone’s property that I can’t even fish every time.

How about a cheaper “bare bones” edition
The more I use this app, the less I actually like it. Not only do I need to pay for even the most basic features now when I didn’t in 2022/23 but every single dang time I use it for navigation, it brings me to private land or a dead end road that I cannot access any water from. Could you possibly make a “bare essentials” version of this app that lets us see the pictures, baits used, and the other basic important info and only charge like 2 bucks a month.
