Crashes frequently
I loved this app when I first purchased the premium last year. But over the past few months less so. I’ve had frequent crashes where it doesn’t record the night after I had turned it on. I wake up in the morning and can see that it had stopped recording; sometimes after only 5 minutes or for example today, after one hour. This happened three times this past week alone. And then the alarm does not work, because the app wasn’t on. I’ve had to start using a backup alarm. Also , the alarm is very glitchy and often the features don’t work as they should. I’ve had to contact technical support frequently these past months. It seems they are often aware of the issues , and eventually fix them, but new ones keep popping up. Overall, I like the app when it works as it is supposed to. I requested a partial refund or a credit towards a renewal for all the down nights. They told me can’t issue a refund for iOS purchases. But they could give me a credit towards a renewal or extend my subscription period.
It’s ok, but catches all noises
It’s a good app but it doesn’t smartly catch just the snoring. If you wake up randomly and move around or even cough or something that’s not snoring but makes noise, it will catch that and confuse it as snoring and include that noise as part of the snoring score. Good app, but would be good if it could recognize when it’s snoring and not
Used to be awesome
Been using this app for years. I am not paying for it now but I did in the past. It’s gotten too expensive but that’s not why I gave it 2 starts. It used to work flawlessly but now, it doesn’t record anymore. I have it set to sleep time 5 mins. Always been that way but somehow there was no recording. It’s running. It said so in the lock screen but when I checked this morning, nothing.
Data thieves
The app does work as described. However, when my premium subscription ended, they locked me out of the recorded data that I had already paid for and want me to pay again for access to my recordings. I have tried to contact them but they don’t answer my emails to their support desk. Add: after multiple emails to support and to Apple they did give me access to my data so I’m giving them an extra star.
Inform users of needed updates
Added a remedy. All sleep notes disappeared. Went to app to review and discovered update needed. Sleep notes reappeared. SnoreLab does not inform app users of updates. Also the remedy added raising head of bed 6 inches was very helpful. This affordable remedy ($15 for bed risers)is verified by studies but not listed. Snore reduction pillows that are expensive and with one exception not verified by studies are listed as remedies. Hmmm.
Works most of the time. Not sure it’s worth a yearly subscription
“Send feedback” only works if you have the native iOS mail app setup. There are issues sometimes, like it stops recording after a few hours, but I can’t report it unless I write a review. Then I get a response from the dev with a a support email, which is apparently not listed in the app, or just difficult to find.
Skewed
Catches a lot of background noise, and although you can go in and mark it as not snoring, it doesn’t change your score.
Snore App Appnea
All sorts of bugs in latest update. It is not usable. Stop adding unneeded features and pushing products! Screen is way to cluttered. Stick to the basic functionality - now it is bloatware. I will not recommend or renew my subscription.
Broken
Had this for the last year but the most recent update broke the app. It worked fine before, open app, start recording, lock phone, sleep. Now it shows it’s working but when I wake up and try to stop the recording, it gives me a warning that it has to run for at least 30 minutes and notes that you can’t lock your phone for it to work. This is after 8 hours of sleep. So you want me to leave my phone unlocked while I’m in my most vulnerable state? Yeah right. Fix this!!
