Terrible Customer Service
I downloaded the app and used it for a couple of weeks. I knew that I wasn’t going to use it so I cancelled my membership. I don’t know if it glitched or didn’t go through but I ended up getting charged a ton of money a few months later. When I reached out to customer service and explained that I didn’t have it downloaded and that I hadn’t used it in weeks and asked for a refund they were absolutely no help and then ghosted me. The app might work for some, but I got zero use or value out of it.
Subscribe to bite pal+ through Apple only
If you are going to subscribe to bite pal +, do so only through apples portal. Bite pal will want you to do it on their website so they don’t have to pay Apple their 30% cut, which I would normally understand. However I subscribed on 3/22 using the website and the subscription was never added to my account. After emailing back and forth for almost 3 weeks they haven’t been able to figure out how to fix it and have given up. They stopped responding to my emails as of 4/1. I’ve asked for a refund, but they haven’t responded to that request either so I am going to have to go through my card company to cancel the charge. Buyer beware.

Beware…the only way to cancel your subscription is to cancel your credit card and get a new one. A better app would be just to use MyFitnessPal.

You’re much better off with My Fitness Pal even though it’s a little more expensive. The way BitePal scans your food and calculates calories/macros is so off, it will end up starving you. I compared the tracking done on BitePal with MyFitness Pal and with labels (manual tracking) and BitePal over estimates grossly! I asked for a refund because the app is NOT worth the cost!

I reached out for a refund because of the app’s inaccuracy and because it said I got a week free trial. I have not got a response.

Scam. Doesn’t help build healthy habits and is inaccurate. Imposible to cancel. Going to file a dispute with my bank. This should be taken down from the App Store.

I have tried multiple times to unsubscribe because I got tired of the app. Not only is it not letting me unsubscribe but it’s also charging me twice the amount as the normal subscription! I’ve left emails, I’ve cancelled it in the app and with my settings and I just got a notification saying I paid 38$ to subscribe to it! It’s unbelievable
Don’t waste your money
This app is all AI generated. There is now way to update the ‘meal plans’ you pay based on food allergies or preferences, it’s not even an option. If you use it just for tracking calories go for it, but spending on the extras is not good. Then when you cancel over a month before the renewal it still renews because they sell your info to a software reseller who then collects the money. It’s garbage. Better apps exist for this purpose.
Not worth it
Bought the app and it worked for 1 day. It doesn’t respond at all even after an update. Just a waste of money. Update: Did receive initial response to resolve, fairly quick. I did what was told and APP still not working right. I have now messaged 2 times about a refund with no response.
Has potential but very poor execution
The app has some potential to be helpful, but has far too many issues. Macros and calories are often very inaccurate, you can only log an entire meal at a time or one ingredient at a time, there’s glitches that cause 1.5 servings to suddenly have thousands of calories, there’s no option to change the time of a meal so if you forget to log it then it can throw off your fast. Overall it’s meant to be less work to track your calories and intake, but ends up taking way more time than traditional apps. Not at all worth the price of it.

Inaccurate—Not worth the $
The photo AI is not accurate with calories or macros. I did not find this app helpful at all. I also disagree for letting someone pick “target” spots for weight loss when that is not backed by science to be possible, when losing weight it comes off in all places not just one. The data base for food entry is extremely inaccurate making it difficult to track. Overall I didn’t even have this for 1 day and was highly disappointed for spending $40.

I’m being charged for something I thought was free. There’s not even a subscription cancellation option because I didn’t sign up for a subscription.
No explanation for duplication of charge
Charged $49.99 and $66.65 on the date of my quarterly renewal. I chatted with a Bot and was told I would get a refund. No clarification of how much of a refund nor why I was charged twice… too sketchy. I’m canceling subscription.
Disappointing
The app uses AI to fill out everything. When something is wrong there isn’t an easy way to edit it, you just have to report that it’s wrong. I wouldn’t have gotten this if I knew it was powered by AI.

I paid for this app and it keeps telling me I have the free version! Wants me to pay $345 again!!!
Bad App
this app uses AI, but still gives no real information that is beneficial for the price. All it does is track your macronutrients which any other app can do. I deleted my account months ago and I just got a subscription charge despite that. Save your money and time and use a different app.

I cancelled the day I got my weeks trial as I didn’t like it. it’s been MONTHS since I did the trial and I got a bank notification last night that I was charged $75 for another year. I 100% canceled the trial and I’m BEYOND upset at the lack of response from customer service and that I am losing out on my groceries this week because of their scam.
This is annoying
It’s been one day and I want a refund and don’t know how to go about it. I put one of my sourdough scones in and it listed it at 571 calories and they’re 371 and I only ate half so I can’t list my food properly and there’s no workout listings and I can’t list what I burn off during the day. I’ve seen so many positive videos on this app and there was not enough information before charging me. I just wanna delete my account and get a refund.

Do not purchase. My Ap is frozen. I can't do anything. I can't view my settings to cancel my subscription. I can't do anything. It does not work. Don't purchase.
Subscription prices to high+ misleading
Subscription is very misleading… I wanted to do a 15 dollar subscription and needed up being charged 43 dollars and then was scheduled to pay another 43 the next month. Definitely NOT what I signed up for!
