Will Not Load Anymore - For a meditation app, I struggle to understand why this app works this poorly. I still have to take daily screenshots of my progress. The app also randomly stops, - without warning. Now, all that shows is a error and to try again. What a disappointment.

this has got to be one of the worst apps ever. constantly logs you out, fails to open, or says "something went wrong". very frustrating to use. not sure how they can put out this garbage

Recently, this app is one of the worst I've used. The Care button is sometimes missing completely from the menu. Member Support Chat is sometimes missing. Multiple notifications for the same chat message. Update: It's been two years and the App still sucks. Worse, the Customer Service is impossible to get on the phone, and Headspace habitually screws up Billing with Insurance. I'm going to download Calm App just to destress from everything caused by Headspace.

activity history just straight up doesn't work, probably better it does sessions just not logged at all. makes it hard to stay on course and keep track of the correct lesson to do next

Yeah call promotional material "free content"😄😤 Came back 3 years after my last review to try and pick it up again, now even the basics are locked, not to talk about what have become of the ui/ux😮‍💨 not touching this app again.

*edit* App randomly decided to delete all my downloaded sleep meditations. No Biggie - will redownload. Guess what - app won't let me listen to downloaded offline content when I'm offline like before. Reinstalled, cleared cache etc. - nothing works. Been going for months now, so cancelling subscription and moving on... Enjoy the content but the app just doesn't work half the time. Reinstall or clearing cache does nothing.

While the app was fantastic, WHY ON EARTH are you collecting data and I quote from the new Privacy Policy "when [I] send or respond to emails, messages, chats, or other communications from Headspace" you collect "any personal information [I] include in the body content of [my] communications." to "power machine learning algorithms" (AI) and "personalise adverts". This is such a philosophical contradiction to what this app seems to be about. A greed driven breech of privacy. Uninstalled it.

with each update it is becoming more and more buggy. It crashes way too often and the lag before playing a session is way too much and irritating especially for a app meant for mediation

I've paid such a high amount for this app but it keeps crashing mid session. Completely breaks the rhythm and concentration.

initially gave this a 5 star review, however the app is so buggy it's at points unusable. Frequently won't connect to Internet despite other apps are working in full signal, and when it does connect, takes ages to load. Would be great if headspace team could look to improve functionality of the app...

I have been stuck on an endless loop trying to log in to my old account. It logs me in on the webpage, tells me to open the app and then logs me into the app with the wrong credentials, with no option to enter the correct email address. I now have to idea how to log in to cancel the free trial. Con artists.

Downloaded the app and I can get past the introductory screen and 3 breath exercise, tried multiple times to restart the app but it didn't work.

highly disappointed. I was recommended this app by a specialist, only to find that to access anything, I have to either pay a yearly subscription or monthly of $19.95. Once I discovered this, I uninstalled the app. No way can I afford another expense, especially when I downloaded the app to help me relax.

Beware, they advertise a 14 days free trial, but I was charged the annual subscription immediately. I had to use Google policies to get a partial refund. Besides that, the app is extremely frustrating, very slow and constantly crashing, even during meditation ! (on a Samsung Galaxy S22)

Avoid this app. But if you want to get it anyway, be EXTREMELY careful as Headspace wont send subscription reminders, and if you are charged they will fight tooth and nail to keep the money no matter what. I got hit hard with a yearly subscription, that they refused to refund. Extremely scummy move considering for whom the app is catered to. Also the AI enshittification is making the app drop in quality significantly. STAY AWAY if you can, there are better alternatives out there.

This app is not easy to navigate. If you want to try the free app, it forces you to click free at the same time as subscribe. The 2 are not separate. Then you cancel anytime, another hassle. Try for free is not the way it sounds. Horrible horrible experience.

this app used to be great. the last year it's gone downhill. customer service isn't great anymore either. I had 3 issues, one was addressed, 2 weren't despite me following up. one was that i was advised of a renewal premium and then was charged a higher premium. so disappointing now from what it used to be

Scheduling appointments are easy, but every other provider I've seen virtually sends a text message with a link to the session 10 minutes prior. Headspace only sends a push notification that's easy to miss, which I did. It also seems there's no phone number to call and quickly resolve issues, so this has just been a bigger headache when all I wanted was support.

Absolutely pathetic. I've purchased a 1 year subscription for an app that is completely unusable. The app is ubearably slow, often freezes mid session and my downloads randomly dissapear. And that's if you can even log in! If your purchase is older than 65 days you can't get a refund, so I've paid almost 60 euros for a years worth of acces to a complete garbage app, great work headspace team.

You been vibe coding this or something? Over the last few months the app has become slow and unresponsive... worked brilliantly when I first signed up.

Too expensive. And getting them to verify official documents to get the student discount? Impossible! SheerID rejects pretty much anything uploaded from a cell phone claiming its not official. You can't use your student email to verify, you have to upload a document. Why use a verification site that won't verify me by my school provided email and rejects every document uploaded? Thanks HeadSpace... guess I won't relax. School isn't stressful or anything..🙄

1 extra star as it could be and used to be pretty good but it has long since stopped syncing with Google Fit no matter what I try and now crashes mid session during most attempts to use it. Basically the app has been bricked by recent updates. edit 3/26: Another update and once again everything stops working. Just roll it back to the version from 12 months ago and then leave it alone!

Changed phones and can't log in - asked for help, support has been working on it since January. The app creates new profiles based on email addresses if you use the wrong one and although they can bill you through Google play, they can't figure out how to get you logged into your account. I've had this account for +5 years.

Worked perfectly fine while I had a free trial to it's premium features, but lost access to EVERYTHING since cancelling it. I can't use a single feature now that I've cancelled my trial.

crashes during sleepcasts. 1 star. it's a quite recent issue, late 2025 i guess. im on android s22. please fix it, and ill change rating to 5 star which it usually deserves.

Nothing works the way HR describes. There is no EAP, no new parent coaching. I removed it.

Your latest update yet again nuked my download section, it's all empty while the apps is taking up 4gb data. So those downloads are still there just not being listed. It frustrates me a lot that this happens regularly with the updates. Also why would you only let a user set very random set timers, 5 min or 500 min, How about let the user decide when the music should stop? it's freaking loop music anyways. + You can't make a playlist. Such basic futures but you didn't think about any of them.

Predatory app. Slow, messy UI and superficial content. Super hard to keep track of anything in the app. Gave up on it, never received an email before my subscription was extended. Contacted them immediately, explained that I am ill and unable to work at the moment, but they still refuse to cancel the extension. Wastes your time, stresses you out and leeches your money, so about the opposite of what anyone looking for a meditation app needs.

Both me and my partner have had problems with this app. It sometimes just stop playing the audio randomly, which has the opposite effect of what the app is aiming to do! Then randomly it might start again many minutes later. very poor!

I have been a subscriber for years and have enjoyed this app and it's content. In 2026 I have experienced multiple app glitches that have ruined my user experience. Meditations stop several minutes in, courses do not automatically proceed to the next session, or I get logged out of the app mid meditation. All have been escalated to support with no solution besides "we are working on it keep your app updated to the latest version" for several months. I will not be purchasing another subscription.

2nd update: another week later. I have been reduced to using the YouTube meditations because I can't use the app. I loved the app and content for 6 years, but how much more can I take?! Update update March 2026: A week later, and I still can't use the app I paid a yearly subscription for. It won't let me open anything. It keeps saying "error you already have a subscription". I logged in and out and uninstalled the app. please help!

Everything is completely pay-walled now, really disappointing. They used to have content that was accessible without a membership but it doesn't seem like there is anything that doesn't require the membership.
