A Great Concept
This is an important and useful app to have. I enjoy that it keeps track of whether I reach a daily goal or not. My only complaint is that it is very slow in recording steps taken and thus distance walked or run. I would love to see a fix for this.
Needs updating for stand feature
I made movement during the 8pm hour and it said it’s blank on stand feature. That’s a crock.
What’s going on!
All of a sudden my move tracking has gone crazy. It shows the move goal and the next day it’s like it was never there! Please fix this! Posted this first part about a month ago then it corrected the count. Now it’s doing it again! 11/16. Losing the count everyday.😡Here it is 4/9/2026 and my move goal count is not correct! Fix it!!!!
GARBAGE
I haven’t tried any of the exercises, but I think they will all, and I mean ALL be V E R Y hard. Plus, my treadmill already has a built in First 5K mode. I’ll check back later. One more thing before I go; this was actually written by a 8 year old.
Great Trainers
I’m actually surprised at such a low app rating. But, it’s the internet and it’s 2026 so there’s that. I love Apple fitness and have been using it exclusively in my “home gym” for four years. Molly is the best yoga trainer, IMO. I absolutely love the cycling trainers Kym, Ty, and Emily and how they all choreograph different types of spinning workouts. Pilates and weights are fun to switch it up. I’m super happy with this program. So try it out!
Suggestions
Music on/off option. I just want to focus on what the trainer is saying and doing my exercises correctly and the music is very distracting.
Inconvenient
I like how you can add workouts but you can’t edit workouts or their duration, not sure why you can add but not edit.
Perfect for home with one flaw
I love using this to get my at home workouts in. The only issue is when the app crashes for whatever reason I can’t restart where the crash happened and if I want to try something one more time I can’t go back. Please add this feature in even if it means no awards for modifying a class.
Soccer needs distance
So disappointing that after all the new updates that the Soccer activity STILL doesn’t track distance/miles run. Soccer players want to know how much distance they’ve covered during a game! Seems like an easy fix. I’m forced to use the Outdoor or Indoor Run activity whenever I play soccer because of this one issue! Please fix!
Please add Rucking!
I enjoy the app for tracking walks, runs, daily activities and such, but I would really like to see Rucking added as an option. I have been training rucking, and a lot of available apps and resources interact with apple fitness by labeling it as hiking. I think that this would be a great feature and would attract a lot of people looking for ways to keep track of their ruck loads and workouts.
Stickers missing, workouts not recorded
I don’t understand why they took half the stickers off of the messaging app. Also, every time I complete a workout I get an award saying I completed a new type of workout even though I be done that type of workout a million times.
Recent updates on Apple Watch
The recent updates to the workout app on my Apple Watch has made this app extremely annoying especially when I’m drenched in sweat. It use to be so simple and easy but now it’s gotten buggy and there are extra steps to start a workout. Please fix this.
Messed up Activity Ring
With this app if you hold it in the right place and walk 2 laps around in your living room you just walked 1/2 mile.
Terrible update
Last update to the Apple fitness app is terrible. The scroll and start is very finicky I find that I’m working so hard to tap the right workout or to get the workout to start. If I press the start at just the wrong angle it goes back to scrolling the workouts or I’m 5 min deep into my workout and look down only to see my workout hadn’t started despite me thinking I clearly pressed start. Bring back the old version please!
Love this but frequent crashes lately
Been using this over a year and love it. However it’s been frustrating lately since it has been stopping in the middle of the video and won’t restart Sometimes it won’t even play the video. Please fix this because I love this app and it has helped me build a better lifestyle routine and I cannot keep having it interrupted by technology not working. I’ll look elsewhere for something else if it isn’t resolved soon.
Like using the App
I like using this app It keeps me motivated but it definitely needs some work. I hate it when I breach my move goal everyday for a month and it doesn’t recognize my progress.In February I had to go and count my days multiple times and shut my phone down before I earned the badge. March I can’t get it to reset and recognize my progress. I know it’s just a app But dam I want my recognition lol.
Note taking. HIIT needs a revamp.
I wish you would implement the ability to take notes like how much weight I used, or the ability to write if the weights I use was to light or I need to go up. HIIT needs a revamp because it’s literally just 30 mins of jumping. Other apps have a wide variety of HIIT workouts like implementing weights calisthenics and so on. Apple HIIT is just jumping with the person in the back left doing the alternative but feeling like you’re not pushing enough. All that jumping is joint deteriorating. It’s like the instructors have a board that they just pick pre written exercises from and just do that in every single HIIT workout but in different order.
Difference in step distance
How can there be such a difference in the step distance from the summary and the detail? I see 5.28 miles in summary & 3.83 miles in detail?
Awesome app!
But I will say my stand time was at 4 hours when it was 10 am, and I woke up at 6 am. And when I was getting ready for the day, for 30 mins I was doomscrolling, sitting down. Please fix!
Incorrect unit
I have used this app on my watch for a few years now and use it during runs. I always get the miles tracker on the bottom but it started showing up as feet now. I didn't change a setting and I have checked multiple times and my settings say that it's in miles but I go to start a run and it shows feet again. I have tried looking for support and deleted and reinstalled the app but it didn't work.

Soccer Tracker is Hot Garbage
The soccer/futbol workout tracking function is garbage, I just end up using the running workout tracker to track my heart rate, distance, and pace. If anyone has suggestion for app to during a soccer game to track my data please post in the reviews. Maybe someone in the app development will open their eyes, plus I’m really interested. The problem with using a running tracker during a game is sometimes the game stops, injuries, and if you stand still too long the running tracker also stops, super annoying.
Horrible
It doesn’t track my steps at all i’ve just walked like a little less than a mile. It didn’t even track a SINGLE STEP!!
Missing total walk time
They have updated app to remove the total walk time when doing an outdoor walk. I have daily targets as well as my outdoor walk targets. This update is terrible - now I have to muck around with my phone instead of my watch..,likely going to look for a new app
Scope for improvement
Excellent workout that’s synchronises with the watch to tell you the activity in the heart rate. Still working Air times when I’m not able to pause workout with the watch. Need to have Kettlebell workouts .

Terrible Issues
Every time that I go on a run while I’m running it will say that I’m at say 3 miles the second that I end the workout it says that I’ve only ran .5 miles.

Continuing workout beyond session
My workout in my watch ends when the session ends. For example, if I have another 200m to finish a 5k when the session ends my watch stops and I’m not able to complete my5km. I think thre should be an option to continue to run after the session. Sessions as such are very inspiring. I also think you might want to include sessions on outside runs.

This app is the worst!!!!!! Stop bloating the app with features nobody is asking for. Please just give us the workouts we pay for in an organized, logical manner that works.
Great with a lot of free options
I like it but would like to see rucking as a workout with the ability to add the weight you are rucking with so your measurements can be tracked properly.
Doesn’t track all distance walked
The app doesn’t always track steps, distance, or workouts accurately. If I end a workout at 9800 steps and then walk 200 steps, the app still says I only walked 9800 steps. A lot of the workouts that should be standard as also locked unless you buy additional hardware.
Tracking issues and data issues
Updated review: this app is straight up making up it’s own data. It takes my Strava workouts, recalculates my HR and my paces, and makes me seem slower than I actually am by almost 3 minutes. Original review —————— Not a great fitness tracking app. Issues specifically tracking distance and syncing workouts with indoor bike. Despite claiming to be able to sync with an indoor bike, when the watch syncs only indoor run and indoor walk are available options. Looking at online forums, it appears this has been an issue for several years. I could get around this if the app at least allowed me to input my distance but it does not. It’s largely useless to track your metrics and progress.
New Update
Not good. I press start see 321 and begin my workout. Look at it during my workout and the it has stopped. Please fix. I like to track my runs.
The update added xtra steps
Now when you start a workout on the watch, it requires you to click the type instead of just starting . I’ve started a workout thinking it’s tracking only to look down after 5 mins and I didn’t click quick start on the next screen🙄 that’s so annoying! Change it back! I know I’m not the only one! 😤
I have NEVER been so disappointed
Do not update your watch or you’ll be so bummed out! I live & loved my watch & now I’m almost in tears & ready to toss it! I had my whole system for the past few years to keep track of my steps & miles weekly so I could compete with myself, but that’s all gone since the new update. I can’t keep track of my overall Weekly miles or steps in my weekly summary & I wish I had a Time Machine to go back before I updated my watch & not do it! Why make updates that are worse?
Tracking is always off
The tracking lags horribly and the average steps are always wrong. The weekly average is not reflective of the daily counts for that week
It’s fine
But there’s so much space for it to be better. Great variety of coaches and topics. I guess I just think of Apple as having so much access to data that they should be able to make the best of the apps. What about rest days? Nutrition recommendations based on activity level? Best would be if I could schedule my competitions and Fitness would give me recommendations on when to peak my training, recovery timing prior to competition, and record competition results for future reference. You can be so much more than this…
Don’t need the classes…just tracking.
I just need to track time and heart rate for each activity. The iPhone does bot the ipad doesn’t. Quite frustrating.

Monthly Challenge
Exceptionally annoying when you reach the monthly challenge goal and suddenly that challenge vanishes from the app so that you never get credit for achieving the goal.
Works outs lack a ton of features, including basic fast forward and fails often.
If your watch messes up (likely) and freezes rather than starting the workout) you cannot fast forward (TV App) to the point you gave up on your watch ever working correctly and have to start over from the beginning. THEN when you decide to use a different apple watch and that one messes up 15 minutes into the workout, the work just ends, no option to continue without the watch and give up the tracking. it just ends. and then if you want to finish the workout you have to redo the first 15 minutes? yeah, i’m more likely to spend 15 minutes writing a review then canceling Apple One.
Bring back the one touch start.
It was working great when you could just tap it one time in your ring would start now you have to tap it twice which if you don’t do that, you can think it started and it’s not and realize you’ve wasted 10 1520 or even more minutes because you needed to tap the start button twice. Bring back one tap start
Stand issue
I am very active and the thing that bugs me is that you are supposed to stand up for one minute so I’ll make my bed finish up with 5 to 6 minutes but if I sit down I’ll notice that the stand time doesn’t count. The other issue is how it stops any outdoor walk way before I stop.
What happened???
3/2026 update: so I’ve been continuing to use the app just because it is a nice motivator, especially since I set up the widget on my Home Screen - but now it’s annoying because I can see how consistently the app undercounts my steps/mileage. What was 4+ miles on a couple of mapping apps was less than 3 miles on Fitness. That’s pitiful app performance anyway you cut it. I’ve been consistently using the app and set a goal at the beginning of last year, now if I do the exact same miles/steps/stairs as I did two weeks ago, I come nowhere close to closing my circle. Because the app keeps a nice record of what you’ve done over time it’s easy to see that something has dramatically changed in how the app tracks your progress. I was go into up my goal at the beginning of the year again but it’s not worth using this app to provide motivation because I’m very demotivated when I’m constantly failing at something I was succeeding at about two or three weeks ago.
New changes
I don’t understand why people think that an update has to change things that work just fine. The new need to and yet another touch to start a workout is stupid and frustrating. It is much harder to scroll to the type of workout to select. I liked being able to see them in order. Now the order changes and I can only see one at a time and then to start it the touch is different and it frequently doesn’t start. That is especially significant for my water classes as it doesn’t set the water resistant feature. This new operating system is terrible. Not to mention it updated my phone when I hadn’t selected for it to be updated.
Quick start sucks
Constantly misrecording my workout because now I have to press on Quick Start after switching workout mode. Like why????

I get that these are mainly big work outs - but I would love to see some 15 min office break workouts that you can do in office
